INightingale owners, Phill Tsingos and Nic Nash-Arnold have over 35 years combined experience as nurses, educators and managers.
‘After 35 years combined experience what we know to be true is that ageing parents need nurturing and that’s what we do best.’
Phill Tsingos: He’s a Registered Nurse. He’s been nursing for twenty years. He’s worked in intensive care, emergency, children, rural and remote, community care as well as with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Phill has worked directly with patients but also has had extensive experience as a manager as well as a nurse educator. Phill has worked here in Australia as well as abroad in the UK. These days, he thrives on the daily challenges of working in an emergency department. Phill’s mission is everyone should have the best quality of life possible. He has made caring for people a life long devotion (perhaps even an obsession). Seeing many people suffer as a result of inadequate care at home, Phill wanted to be the prevention not the cure. That is how iNightingale was born.
Nic Nash-Arnold: She’s a Registered Nurse. She has been nursing for nearly 20 years and mostly her nursing work has been in operating theatres and emergency. Nicole has worked as a nurse educator for many years and also been a manager in both operating theatres and emergency departments. She has spent a number of years as a senior hospital administrator. Nic has always believed in empowerment with education – that education has been mainly directed at empowering nurses to develop the right skills to deliver great patient care. Now, Nic wants to bring that clinical experience and education background to empower adult children of ageing parents with the rights skills and knowledge to know that their parents can stay at home. Safe.

We also have a range of products that help you care and keep your ageing parents at home. If you are the primary caregiver and doing the hands-on work, it’s hard to know where to get the skills! We have two products that give you the skills to home caring, the Home Care Survival Guide and People Lifting People.
Our other services include a wellness program, Enhance Wellness, that is specifically designed for older adults (65 plus) who live in the community and have a chronic disease such as diabetes. We identify disability risk factors and put into place a well-researched, outcome-based program to reduce disability risk, increase nutrition, decrease fall risks and reduce health care use including hospitalisations.
Sometimes, adult children simply need some help navigating the system so that they feel confidant that their ageing parents have a long term plan so that they can stay where they want to be – at home! Our family coaching services provides long term planning and support to prevent institutionalisation of your parents.
So if your ageing parents want to stay at home and you are worried about how they will cope, then we are here to help you care.
